LinkedIn Boot Camp for the Social Media Marketer

Written by Lauren Hockenson and published by Mashable, the article, “LinkedIn Boot Camp” is a worthwhile read for the SM marketer or person interested in testing the LinkedIn waters.  It features infographic information about LinkedIn users and also advice on how to make a profile, connect with other users, customize, create a company profile, and how to optimize your search rankings.  Whew!  What a workout, but never fear–not a drill sargeant in sight.

About Leslie

I am a graduate student at Southern New Hampshire University. My major is Organizational Leadership. I am also working on graduate certificates in marketing/social media marketing. I most currently have worked with a nonprofit organization that addresses the issue of youth homelessness. I share my life and home with my husband of 24 years, my son (he attends UNC) aged 23, and my daughter aged 17. We also have an assortment of fur-family members who provide hours of free entertainment. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. I have lived in many places since leaving California due to my husbands job. It is a wonderful experience living and meeting people from all over the U.S. Our family loves the ocean and we recently visited the beautiful Island of Kauai. There is a YouTube link to images from our Kauai trip located in this blog. Enjoy! I have worked in the past as a crisis counselor, foster parent, web site developer, and I also helped to get child protection legislation written and passed when I resided in New Hampshire. In my free time, I enjoy reading, daydreaming, writing, cooking new things, walks with the dogs, travel, and generally enjoying life with friends and family.
